Achievements Games and Sports 2007-08
 

01        Cricket under 16 yrs boys won the silver medals and Rs.300/- cash award to each player by KVS New Delhi during KVS national meet cricket held at KV No.2 Bhopal 10th to 16th Oct.2007.

02        25 students of KV No.1 AFS Jodhpur participated in the KVS National Meet 2007 on behalf of KVS Jaipur Region organized by KV’s Bhopal region.

03        Master Manoj Class XIIE got Bronze medal in the KVS National Meet swimming under 19 yrs boys held at KVS Bhopal from 12 to 16 Oct.2007.

04        Cricket U-16 & U-19 boys won Gold Medal during KVS Pre-National Meet held at KV Kesahavpuram New Delhi & K.V. No.2 Jaipur respectively.

05        Cricket under 16 yrs boys won Gold medal during KVS Regional Meet Cricket held at KV No.1 AFS Jodhpur from 16 to 18 September 2007.

06        Cricket under 19 yrs boys won Silver medal during KVS Regional Meet Cricket held at KV No.1 AFS Jodhpur from 16 to 18 September 2007.

07        Master Manoj Class XIIE got 02 Gold medals during the Regional Meet in Swimming held at KV 1 Jaipur on 28 and 29 Sept.2007.

08        KVS Regional Meet athletics held at KV 1 Alwar, Athletics Girls got 6 Gold medals, 06 silver and 04 Bronze medals held from  28 to 30 Sept. 07.

09        KVS Regional Meet athletics boys held at KV 1 Bikaner from 28 to 30 Sept. 07 our Athletics boys got 02 Gold medals, 03 Silver and 01 Bronze medals.

10        KVS Regional Meet Volley ball boys 2007 held at KV No. 2 AFS Jodhpur - one boy Master Ajit XIIC got Gold medal.

11        Our girls students got 05Gold medals in KVS Regional Meet 2007 (Kabaddi).

12        Boys from our Vidyalaya got 02 Gold medals in KVS Regional Meet 2007 Kabbadi held at KV No.2 AFS, Jodhpur.

13        04 girls from our Vidyalaya got 04 Gold medals during KVS Regional Meet 2007 (Kho-Kho).

14        One girl got Gold medal in KVS Regional Meet 2007Judo held KV No.4 Jaipur.

15        KVS regional meet 2007, Chess boys, one boy got bronze medal.

16        KVS regional meet 2007, Chess girls, two girls got Silver medals.

17        KVS Zonal meet Kabbdi girls, won Gold medals.

18        Clusters Meet Kho-kho boys, Kabbadi girls, Kho-Kho girls got First position and Kabbadi boys got third position.

During regular CCA activities, issues related to adolescence problems and life-skills were regularly inculcated in various competitions. The following activities were conducted: 

  1. Extempore Speech- The school conducted extempore speech competition during the month of September. Through the programme the students were given a platform to show their out-of-the-box thinking. They also got an opportunity to express their feeling freely. The topics covered were: believe in yourself, saying no politely, if I were forced to smoke, selfishness financing drugs, negative aspects of the media, lost values. The programme was given a touch of excitement and vigour by involvement of students who served the role of spectators during the programme. All through the programme the teacher extended a helping hand and supported the students wholeheartedly. The judges also gave valuable tips on how to improve our skills in the art of extempore speech. The end of the programme acquainted us with various aspects related to growth and development of adolescents.

  2. Recitation Competition: Recitation Competition was bilingual- in Hindi and in English. The topics covered were- social evils, gender disparity, female foeticide, peer pressure, etc. The students selected the poems themselves and the session was very thought evoking. The judges were very much impressed by the mature selection of the content by the students.

  3. Slogan Writing Competition: This is the activity liked by most of the students. The students’ minds are always fertile with many witty slogans and when they get a channel to express it, their creativity flows freely. The slogans were written on social causes, social awareness, consumer awareness, etc.

  4. Quiz Competition: The students have been supplied with the literature related to substance abuse and HIV & AIDS. A quiz was conducted in the month of November (1st week). Questions related to substance abuse and HIV & AIDS were asked and the nodal teachers and the Master Trainers clarified doubts of the students related to these topics. The winners of the Quiz competitions were given Books on the topics related to Personality Development and Literature suitable for the Adolescents.

  5. Brainstorming Sessions: The nodal teachers conduct several brainstorming sessions during their arrangement periods. They deal with topics related to life-skills, problem solving skills, learning to say ‘No’, etc.
